NYPD: Man Shot Roommate, Then Two Police Officers In Brooklyn


A 44-year-old man is in custody after allegedly taking pictures his roommate and two law enforcement officials who responded to a 911 name on Sunday evening.

The taking pictures passed off round 9 p.m., inside a constructing at 42 Hawthorne Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. The officers, who had been instructed a person had been shot within the constructing, arrived and had been reportedly fired upon whereas heading up the steps. One officer was struck in his bulletproof vest, whereas the opposite was grazed.

In line with the NYPD, the officers returned fireplace, and the suspect barricaded himself within the condo. He was ultimately taken into custody, and officers discovered his roommate, 45, with a gunshot wounds in each legs. The Publish says that roommate had known as police whereas hiding in a closet.

The unidentified roommate was taken to Kings County Hospital and is in secure situation. An NYPD spokesperson described the officers’ accidents as minor; they had been additionally taken to Kings County Hospital for remedy.

The NYPD mentioned two firearms had been discovered within the condo. The investigation is ongoing.
